A Palm Springs woman who was viciously attacked by her own dog is out of intensive care more than 2 weeks after the attack. She is still getting round the clock care in the hospital.

Graham Hancock, a friend said she's recovering well but there is certainly a long road ahead.

"She told me, that cops told her that they've seen less blood at murder scenes," Hancock said.

Musick was mauled in the face, forearms, and leg. Neighbors helped free Musick but the dog found it's way back to Musick, continuing the brutal attack. Initially, doctors planned to amputate her left arm and right hand, but according to Hancock, medics have been able to save her limbs.

"It's definitely like disbelief. The first time is like 'Okay,' but then the fact that the dog circled around the front part of the house and went for round two is like a sick dream. I can't even imagine what was going on in her head," Hancock added.

Lauren Musick has had eight transfusions and four surgeries so far and still has several more to go.

When police arrived at the scene, officers tased Taz multiple times. Hancock said police used an animal control pole to restrain him.

"The circular plastic rope mechanism around its neck and I believe the dog continued to keep twisting around and eventually chocked himself to death,"

Chocked (sic) himself to death. Yeah, that's how it happened...

I’ll second that. Logical and concise — could teach some conservatives how to make a point and avoid verbal bullying.

Friend of woman attacked by dog gives updates her recovery

Whose recovery? The friend, the woman or the dog?

More J-school grads who can't compose a coherent sentence.

Pit Bulls should be rounded up and shot.

There were 39 U.S. dog bite-related fatalities in 2017. Despite being regulated in Military Housing areas and over 900 U.S. cities, pit bulls contributed to 74% (29) of these deaths. Pit bulls make up about 6.5% of the total U.S. dog population.

Under $5,000 of a $15,000 goal raised in 18 days on the GoFundMe page. No mention that the dog that attacked her was her own pit bull.

Apparently the “Dogs of Peace” crowd is uninterested in helping out one of their own.

Pit bulls make up about 6.5% of the total U.S. dog population.

In Tampa, Florida it's more like Pit Bulls are 95% of the dog population. National stats are meaningless when dealing with sanctuary cities and the dogs that the occupiers of those zones vastly prefer.

Oh I understand, yes, much more danger there, but still, a breed that’s only 6.5% is responsible for 74% of human fatalities, that says all we need to know. Pit pulls are not pets, are not found in the wild, they should be eliminated as a species.

Almost NO species of dog that people keep as pets is found in the wild. A few people with wolf-dogs maybe.
