Were you pushed out by gentrification? What happened?
I got pushed out by divorcification....
I was part of gentrification in a way - one of those white people who started a theater using old buildings that were lent for that purpose. Bought homes when prices were cheap in dicey towns (with interesting housing stock) but wealthier folks came eventually and drove prices up. Then taxes shot up and we moved on.
