How zoning laws and resulting code enforcement actions are used to enrich city coffers. Not just by fines levied but by requiring larger homes.

I’ve been pushed out of Asbury Park, Ocean Grove, NJ, South Miami Beach, parts of Manhattan and Cobble Hill, Brooklyn and am now relocating to the Deep South. I suspect I’ll be pushed out of there, eventually. I never put my suitcases in the closet.

So they want to push her out in favor of rich foreigners who will doze the place?

It looks like a cute little place.
Kind of a shame all around.

Its not “the rich” pushing her out

Its grasping, rapacious government that is trying to maximize its take.

more MSM lies.

This isn't just happening in Florida. People from urban areas on the West coast are selling their houses at retirement at astronomical prices and moving to smaller towns in the eastern parts of their states. They are paying astronomical prices for housing that was worth far less and driving up property tax assessments.

It is monetary boon for the counties because they don't have to go to the voters to increase taxes, thereby revenues. It is a money grab.

But the main problem is this. These interlopers are leaving the 'shitholes' they created and bringing the same ideas with them that created those 'shitholes'.

It is only a matter of time until they turn their new cities and town into 'shitholes' as well.

This is true everywhere, is it not?
Except for areas in which real estate is stagnant.

Eventually the southerly coastal areas of the east coast and especially the west coast will be the realm of the super rich. All others ferrrget it. In CA it’s basically like that now. In fact, if they get their way, they’ll wall off or block ocean access to most everyone..and in fact have already done so in many areas of the CA southwest coast.
