Does this cause one to no longer wonder why a huge percentage of democrats embrace socialism ? My thought is yes
Jewish groups have commonly expressed preference for leftism, equating conservatism with the bad old bigotries of the early 20th century.
They are not New Testament theoretical. They are bluntly empirical.
Not to say this isn’t its own folly. Sometimes people can be too “bright” for their own good, and not see the subtle servant which wishes them a new kind of bondage. Who’s going to govern a socialist utopia and how? The USSR seems to be a good answer to that.
