Caffeine is a Xanthine derivative (IIRC), the same family in which aminophaline is found. Coffee opens the airways and alerts the eyes, even as it loosens up the venules for circulation, IIRC.

I mean (all the cool people start their sentences this way now), how many years can the “experts” re-study coffee? How much research can possibly be done? It’s coffee. Guy at work has a post with Steve McQueen looking all manly (millennials wouldn’t get that) with the quote: “Coffee doesn’t ask stupid questions in the morning. Be more like coffee.” That about sums it up.

Israeli (or Arab) coffee is strong like espresso and you don’t need (or want) a venti sized mug.
I like my French pressed Peets dark roast.

I drink a strong one, and a weak one, just about every day.

German researchers say four cups of strong coffee a day could trigger a process that helps prevent heart attacks. Dang it!
Now what do I do?
My general practitioner advised the direct opposite.
Cut way back on coffee and drink much more water...

More junk science. A few years ago they were saying that coffee caused cancer.

Used to love opening a can for my dad HA...same here. My brother and I used to dang near wrestle over this.
I started grinding beans about a year ago. Finally our computerized contraption of a coffee maker broke the other week and I ordered a french press.
UNBELIEVABLE..... You want good strong coffee these will give it to ya. Sheeeeit.

Yeah I used to love coffee. But these days it jerks around my heart and fries my prostate so I stay away as much as I can.

Thats right in the idiotic blind state of california. The coffee shops gotta say that “reseach has not proven that the roasting process doesnt cause cancer even though roasting coffee can create carcinogens” its all for control of another addicting drug.
Think of all the effort and money in the world devoted to 4 addicting chemicals...caffeine..ethanol...nicotine...opiates..must be about 1/6 of world economy.

A serving of espresso has less caffeine than a serving of coffee, not more. Ounce per ounce it has more caffeine, but a mug of coffee has enough volume to exceed the caffeine in a shot of espresso.
If I could afford it, Id get an espresso machine.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
Absolute bull$hit. Another false proclamation by “experts.” Completely ignores the effect of all that caffeine.
