The Bible is filled with examples of walls that are presented as a positive symbol of law and order. Our word for city, from the Latin cititas means a walled, protected space. The Hebrew qiryah, used to denote the cities in the Bible, has the exact same meaning. The people inside the walls were protected and allowed to prosper in peace. Cities where the walls have been torn down or reduced to rubble were unprotected and the result was chaos, lawlessness and misery.
Nehemiahs great task in the Bible was to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem. It was the Make Israel Great Again project, to borrow a phrase. Israel could not be restored as a nation without first building a wall to protect its citizens from its eager enemies, which were many. The entire community of the Israelite people was called upon to do its part in rebuilding the wall.

Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land. - Jeremiah 1:8
Then Eliashib the high priest and the other priests started to rebuild at the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and set up its doors, building the wall as far as the Tower of the Hundred, which they dedicated. - Nehemiah 3:1

Illegal immigration and porous borders is the modern-day Liberal’s “Trojan Horse” hoped for and meant to destroy us from within.
I recommend that all Liberals immigrate to Europe where they will feel right at home with other Liberals and terrorist Muslims. Like-minded Liberals and terrorists should inhabit the same territory, in my personal opinion.
God wants a wall.
That statement will drive SJW types to hysterical madness.
There’s also a biblical case for blowing down big beautiful walls. Natural law derived from right reason which comes from good-faith seeking of God and his Word is a better source than trying to find scriptures to support building a wall. The Constitution, based heavily on natural law, is the Supreme law of the Land, and should be our guide here.
The case for building a wall is based on the constitutional mandate that the feds “protect the states from invasion” (Art IV, Sec. 4). Illegal immigration and immigration of illegals is invasion.
Correction...
Illegal immigration and immigration of ENEMIES is invasion.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
[Those who dismiss this citation as merely figuratively spoken (for entry into heaven) should know that a figurative meaning can only be conveyed if the literal meaning has already been accepted as an established truth.]
Christians, and non-Christians who demand Christian ethics when it suits them, tend to mix two worlds together that need to be kept apart. These two worlds are the personal and the governmental.
Example: Eye for an eye, tooth for tooth. This was an injury judgment exacted by the elders in a criminal decision; it is not a license for getting personal revenge.
Example: Show kindness to the foreigner. This is a personal situation where people are expected to be nice to people, maybe give them a loaf of bread and a place to sleep. It is not a national security policy. David built fortresses and emplaced garrisons all around his borders to keep people out.
Lousy hermeneutics makes for lousy politics.
The take away message is not that the Bible is used to make a case for a border wall, but that JerUSAlem is a metaphor for America.
In London today “The City” is referred to as the financial district which it is.” In fact the geographical boundaries of “The City” is what was the old Roman Wall around London. The vast majority of the old Roman Wall is gone but some parts still exist and are preserved for history.
