Hmmm....that doesn't really fit my situation, when my Tinnitus began; nor a good friend of mine's.

I’m one of the minority that has perfect hearing and tinnitus. Some doctors suggest damage to the hair cells in the ear make those hair cells hyperactive. My research suggests nobody really knows why chronic tinnitus is what it is. Though, as mentioned previously, there are some things (medicine, medical conditions...) that cause tinnitus until the issue is resolved.

I’ve read several times that tinnitus is a result of the nerves from the ear receptors to the brain going haywire or deteriorating. Fixing the nerve situation is why, so far, there is no cure.
