Justify going at 4 to 5 last I saw. Not worth the risk.

Justify with the 5 outside runners underneath.

Hours of pre-race hype for a two minute horse race?

Just an observation of how much airtime is devoted to yakking about it, compared to how long the actual event takes.

We could make a similar observation about the Super Bowl.

Off topic , but why do so many horses retire after the triple crown series of races? I don’t follow racing, but I hear they are at their peak as three year olds, run for the triple crown, then retire.

The last few days I've been attending the trial of two Mafia mobsters charged with murder.Given that it's in Federal court it somehow qualifies as Federal rather than state. The chief prosecutor is Fred Wyshak,a guy who was portrayed in "Black Mass" and who was the chief prosecutor of Whitey Bulger a few years ago.

During the trial there's been testimony by one of the prosecution's chief witnesses,Steve Flemmi, that he and Whitey routinely fixed races at Suffolk Downs (a Boston race track) as well as at other tracks.

It kinda makes one wonder if any horse race in this country is *really* on the level.

Justify is a beautiful horse. I read recently Soros is part owner. I’m hoping this is not true because I’m pulling for him.

I’m betting on Soros to win with his horse. One way or another.

I’d like to see Mike Smith win the Triple Crown .... he’s riding Justify so there’s a good chance he’ll get Justify there in front of everyone else.

Smith has had a knee and hip replacement, plus come back from bad injuries suffered during races. He works incredibly hard. He’s already had a great career and a Triple Crown win for him would be well-deserved.

Thanks for posting. I’m betting against Justify, but don’t mind if he goes on to win the triple crown. I’ll be watching.

I’m putting loot on Limousine Liberal in the Met Mile. The question remains - will it just take the cash and run away with it?
