There's the problem right there, "loved ones" supportive of her self-destruction.

Well if no one in her family loved her enough to nurture self-respect and worth, at least she is giving everyone a real reason that they should be repelled.

I see this kind of damage as evidence of defective or missing interpersonal relationships if not outright abuse.

There is an awful lot going on in this world that needs to be repaired.
