Lakemont, Blair County, Pa. - The Blair County Coroner tells WTAJ at 6:18 Thursday night, a 6 year old boy in Lakemont, Blair County was killed by the family Pit Bull. Logan Township Police are investigating. The boy was killed by blunt force trauma at the home along Gesser Avenue. The boy went to Baker Elementary School. Counselors there have been called in to help students and staff Friday. WTAJ is currently withholding the name of the child out of respect for the family's wishes. Coroner Patty Ross wanted to thank the staff at UPMC for their compassion during this difficult time.

Rick Vaughan, a friend of the boy's family, said the boy died after the family dog attacked him just before 6:00 pm. Vaughan told the Altoona Mirror the boy's father was cutting grass when he heard the mother screaming and rushed to find "the dog on the boy." Despite the father's actions to get the dog off the child, "It was already too late," Vaughan said. The dog that killed the boy is dead. The family asked police to remove a second dog from their home, reports the Altoona Mirror.
This breed should be exterminated. It has no useful purpose....................

Illegal dogfighters, backyard breeders, some “animal rescue” organizations. Not all, but a portion.
The dogs themselves are horribly abused in many cases.
The bastards who owned this vicious dog should all be imprisoned. Inexcusable. I have a disgusting dog in my neighborhood that is so mean, I can guarantee fatalities if this monster ever comes loose from the slender girl’s leash. Muslims are people; precious in God’s eyes, created in His image.
PBType dogs are not people; they are not human; they are animals.
An old term is beasts, which describes non-humans, i.e. “The beasts of the field”.
And not only beasts, animals, but a breed-type of dog created and maintained and owned by humans. Legally, they are property. We must always keep this in mind.
Somewhere in the facts is the solution, or a solution. I have found in the past that if I keep listing facts, or facets of a problem, eventually a solution to the problem will present itself. The solution is not always easy or pleasant.

I wondered that myself when I came across the story late last night. At the website above, one of the facebook posts said:
” The dog attacked his head and neck, and was stabbed multiple times because he wouldn’t let go.
Stabbed to death by fork equals blunt force trauma. Ripped open by teeth equals blunt force trauma. It’s how they classify injuries, it doesn’t mean the boy hit his head.”

Poor kid! That is horrifying! Last year, I was renovating an investment property and I left the front door open. I was in the kitchen when a huge pitbull sauntered in. I froze in fear and gently tried to coax her back outside. Luckily, for me, she only attacked me with lots of kisses.
Very unfortunately, it looks like it was one of the family’s dogs, and also that one or both parents stabbed the dog to death during the attack. In addition, the news story or the feed indicates that a second dog was removed from the home at the time of the child’s death. The parents are understandably devastated.
What to tell the owners if it is the parents -
Especially if they seem reasonable or reachable -
how to present the information on these dogs -
this now becomes more and more urgent.

The only thing pit bulls are good for is target practice.
I wish I could. They aren’t called “clown dogs” for nothing. They can be so funny, cute, and charming that it is easy to forget that for which they are bred.
Agree pitbulls should be outlawed. It’s a garbage breed. Mandatory sterilization now and mandatory euthanasia for any pbs born after a certain date.
The white trash and ghetto PB owners will just have to look elsewhere for validation. I recommend more tattoos and gold teeth.
