The Mets are plagued with injuries once again.
Tebows next move might not be to the majors, but he could be headed to the Mets Triple-A affiliate, the Las Vegas 51s. If the Mets promote Matt den Dekker to the majors, Tebow could fill the open spot on the 51s.

Off topic, but I think it’s funny, the Las Vegas 51s are named after nearby Area 51.
Whatever you think of Tebow, the one thing he is....motivated to succeed.
God bless him.
He just played a series here in Portland Maine. Heard parts of the games on the radio. He didn’t do anything special.
The Sea Dogs have a current distinction of having the sons of two MLB managers actively playing. Nick Louvello, son of AZ Diamondbacks manager Tory Louvello and Tate Matheny, son of St Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny. Both appear to be doing well.
“I’m always glad to hear about a man like Tim Tebow doing well.”
A lot of people feel that way, including yours truly.
Matt Den Dekker is another Gator. Good deal and Go Gators.
The owner is wanting to rename the team.
I was hoping for “Aces” instead of “Golden Knights.” Maybe the baseball team will go with “Aces.”
(cards/pilots/also the best pitcher is often called the “Ace.”)
He’s striking out almost half the time. In Double A.
A “good month” for him is hitting .273. In Double A.
If he ever does gets called up to the bigs it will be as a publicity stunt.
Those are just facts.
And Nick Lovullo was the producer of “Hee Haw”. Torey grew up playing cards with Nashville legends.
Bad post. Torey was the son of Sam Lovullo, who was the Hee Haw producer.
Especially if he continues to do well.
BTW, teh Eastern League, where Tebow is now, has the BEST nucknames. He’s with teh Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Therea re the Portland Sea Dogs, the Hartford Yard Goats, the Richmond Flying Quirrels, the Erie Sea Wolves, and perhaps the best name in teh minors, the Akron Rubber Ducks.
“Hi Mom, I’m a Rubber Duck.”
Doesn’t Reno already have Aces?
It looks like they do, yes.
Also the Las Vegas Aces are a WNBA team.
The team has plans to move into Las Vegas Ballpark, a new 10,000-seat facility located in Summerlin, in 2019. Along with playing in a new ballpark, the 51s plan to rebrand by adopting a new name and logos after the 2018 season.

If he’s having fun and paying the rent, more power to him.
2018 Tebow stats:
35 G, 119 AB, .244 BA, 4 HR, 18 RBI, 57 SO
Good for a 31-year old with no experience! Not really good numbers for an older prospect though, especially one with very limited defensive skills. Being left handed helps a bit.
Any call up to the majors means clearing a roster spot on the 25- and 40- man roster, which means the team is likely to lose a player. And taking a player off the 40-man roster involves clearing waivers, which means Tebow could go to another team looking for PR.
The Mets keeping him in the minors and milking publicity themselves seems a more likely option.
I’ve always said that since top prospects are sometimes referred to as “blue chip” prospects, the Las Vegas Blue Chips might work.
With Tebow it’s all about enjoying the experience and seeing those with Tebow Derangement Syndrome lose it.
