Thank you for pointing the cat issue out; I believe it to be valid, and always treated my cats accordingly.

I hope very much that you read the complete article.

When I began to research this issue, the numbers surprised me, and still do.

I am beginning to work on verifying them myself. So often, the information one seeks is available, but when it is all pulled together in one place, the patterns appear.

Other dogs have gone after my 1 year old lab 3 times. In every instance it was a pit bull. The last one I jumped on top of, wrapped my hands around its throat and dug my thumbs in so deep I swear they were almost pressed up against its spine.

I’d prefer not to have to do that again. Hopefully my ccw will come through in the next month or so. Once it does if a pit bull attacks me or mine when we’re out in the park or wherever, I’ll just shoot it on the spot.

When I began to research this issue, the numbers surprised me, and still do.

Just for kicks, I decided to check on the number of cats and dogs hit and killed by cars. 5.4 million cats, and 1.2 million dogs. That's a LOT of dogs getting into the road. Of course, differences abound. Cars are everywhere an many dogs instinctively chase them. Plus, we can compare pit bull kills vs. other breeds. The numbers are enough out of whack that it is NOT just the owners.
