I don’t think it’s trademarked. But you never know... I wouldn’t put it past a few of the relentless pit bull promoters I’ve dealt with over the years (namely the ones, who endlessly and breathlessly tell you that the PBT is the most wonderful, wondrous and magical dog breed ever invented)

My usage of the symbol was strictly satirical.

Perhaps you could share those posts you speak of?

My daughter came home from college with a pit bull mix which indirectly (second owner) came from a shelter. I was skeptical, but since I'm a dog person I gave the dog a chance. He was OK for the first week, but then he started acting aggressive towards me, unprovoked. It continued to get worse. Then he started lunging at me and snapping, growling, barking, and showing his teeth. I told her was not putting up with his behavior and I feared for other peoples safety as well. We had to return him to the shelter. It broke my daughter's heart, but I think we both have no regrets about the decision.

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it occurs to me that the proliferation (and aggressive defense thereof) of randomly extremely dangerous dogs might be a useful component of persons desiring to create fear in the general population.

White vinegar, yes, effective . . .Before I knew about vinegar, I successfully used in the past the tiniest bit of Tabasco(r) hot sauce on the tongue of two mini house dictator barking units while teaching the “no bark” command . . .
(it only took 2x and then waving the bottle at them)
These were adult 5# dogs at the time, long ago.

“They were bred to work a certain job not to be pets.”

So that justifies their mistreatment?

It looks as though someone read the (4YO) story recently and wanted to post a comment but could not. Since there is a way to email the writer, it is possible that the website mod bumped the story to the front page of the blog, and then added the comment to it. This is not necessarily what happened, but is one possible scenario. I have seen stranger things.

Here are some pit bull owners who were trying to find a legal but typically dishonest way to murder anyone trying to defend themselves against pit bulls.

"Seems like there are a lot of 70 something women who didn’t get the email about the invention of firearms."

They lived during a time when dogs as dangerous as pit bulls were nearly nonexistent in residential areas in the U.S.A. People with the mentality of a pit bull worshiper were also extremely rare outside of places like some of the worst parts of New York City back then. There was a time, when many people were strolling up and down sidewalks in the early evenings just to get some fresh air and exercise. And most of those people weren't nearly as obese as what we're seeing now.

Before someone goes off on fat pride, by the way, I’m fat...but working on it. I, for one, want to be as capable and active as possible, especially later in life, and will enjoy any improvement.

Outstanding! The gut was preventing the wearing of pants without suspenders here, and that’s too much. And apparently, if we go lax after 60, things begin to decay and leak. So also for the first time, I made plate portions smaller and added some calisthenics. The plan includes pushing the ground, until the gut gets tired and gives up. ;-)

One, two, three, one! One, two, three, two...!

When I was a kid growing up on the south side of Chicago..maybe 10 years old...I was set upon by a pack of dogs. The leader alpha dog was a German shepherd. I was bringing groceries home for my mother and thats what the dogs were after. They started ripping at the paper bag and the shepherd put a bite on my buttocks. They got the bag and especially liked the hot dogs. I went on my merry way while they dined. Wary of shepherds ever since.
