Inconceivable!
I was assured by justsaynotonannies years ago that people would NEVER drive while toked.
So obviously this is all propaganda.

my guess is that pot smokers have been responsible for many accidents but never checked because they don't smell of alcohol...

which is why alcohol is always blamed while in many cases its pot or multiple drugs/alcohol use...

However, we need more than a "trained" cop of TWO WHOLE WEEKS accessing the situation.

Naturally I don’t think pot should be legalized. Having said that, I don’t think pot killed those people. If they were ejected, they weren’t wearing seatbelts. And that is why they are dead.

Three people are dead, and this isn’t shocking to me. This is why I’m opposed to legal recreational marijuana. The American people seem to be growing more and more in favor of it, though, and ultimately we will see the long term consequences (good or bad).

It’s pretty simple - Don’t drink and drive, toke and drive, drop acid and drive, smoke crack and drive, shoot smack and drive, sniff glue and drive, etc.

I’m all for legalization, but this stuff bothers me. There seems to be a push among users in legal states to allow getting high at work. High Times magazine even has articles about what strains allow you to get “mildly” high so you can use and be on the job. And there are also those who say they’re not as impaired driving as one would be while drinking.

Legalized pot should be only for use in the home. I don’t want my fellow employees or folks on the road endangering anyone’s lives — especially my own and my family’s. And being high is impaired enough to preclude either one of those activities.

Three people were killed when they were ejected from an Escalade — a woman, a teen and a child.

Yeah, being ejected from a vehicle during a collision significantly increases the risk of death.

I guess this is the thread where people demonstrate that there is very little daylight between their positions and those of the far left, with only the inanimate objects that the blame for the decisions of human actors being the difference.

The nature of impairment from marijuana is typically very different from, say, alcohol. It’s not immune from leading to traffic accidents as many overt supporters like to claim, but it is true that most stoned drivers are typically too cautious because they’re paranoid. Don’t fiddle with the stereo or otherwise get distracted though, and for sure stay off the stupid phone. “Easily distracted” while stoned is an understatement.

Must not have been one of those “high functioning” pot smokers.

Glad they’re finally checking this. I have family in law enforcement, and marijuana DUI’s have gone off the charts in the states where it’s legal.

If alcohol - which has a long cultural history - was a problem, I never understood why we should have legalized another substance with no cultural history in the West and in fact one that, along with its derivatives (hash), has paralyzed the Middle East and parts of Asia.
