Naturally I dont think pot should be legalized. Having said that, I dont think pot killed those people. If they were ejected, they werent wearing seatbelts. And that is why they are dead.
Talk about cognitive dissonance. If they had been wearing their seatbelts then the accident wouldnt have happened, right?
Pot didn’t kill them.
The person who smoked then drove killed them.
One should not ever smoke and drive, and that is coming from a person who smoked and drove many times, but was fortunate enough not to have caused the death of any innocent person with his stupidity and selfishness.
If you are ever shot dead I’ll have to remember to let the court know that you would have wanted the killer top go free because you weren’t wearing a bullet proof vest.
If they were ejected, they werent wearing seatbelts. And that is why they are dead.
The Venn diagram would show that there are many stupid people who dont smoke pot.
Where I live, the newspeople reporting serious/fatal accidents always seem surprised when the people in the accident WERE wearing seat belts. We have plenty of freedom-loving people here who dont like the Government telling them what to do.
Im not a fan of Illinois, but they have a policy of contributory negligence-if you are in an accident not your fault and you are injured, you can sue for medical bills but you can sue for up to and including nothing for pain and suffering if you arent wearing seat belts.
Well, maybe the trauma of being ejected is the physical cause of death, but the proximate cause may well be the errors in judgment of the toked up driver. Saying that the crash is what killed airline passengers when the reason for the impact was pilot error... see the false narrative there?
Folks say the cause of death was a bullet wound and the gun is what put the bullet there, but we all know that the person who fired the gun is the cause of the incident.
