If I know my Hollywood, any two actors could be paid the same and not share the same deal for their respective roles in the same film.
Imagine if you and I are both paid a flat million dollars for our roles in the same movie. But you have a craftier agent and they work a deal with studio to give you 1 percent of the box office as well. You get a million-plus and I get a million. We were both paid the same but did not enjoy the same deal.
Give him equal time on the casting couch with the director.
Time to find a new Dr. Strange.
Or better yet, maybe its time for more Americans to read more books.
“Its time for male porn actors to get paid as much as female porn actors too”
Darn right. I deserve a raise. :-)
How about an actor who admonished his fellow Brits for not taking refugees into their homes and making them feel “welcome?”
Benedict did that and when asked why he was not taking any into his mansion, he said “It was too dangerous for his children.”
He is filthy mouthed moron and this is just his latest publicity stunt.
I’ve noticed the non-Hollywood production places such as you mentioned have much less homo activity, the violence is toned down a tad and the political education is practically non-existent. I’ll pick a Canadian or Romanian film any day over the CA lefties brands.
Nobody says much about that inequality.
Was/is one of the latest BBC incarnations of Sherlock Holmes, contemporized. The guy that played Arthur Dent in the H2G2 movie is Watson. Something Freeman?
You’re supposed to be paid?
She-lock Homes series in the works?
What about the female studio janitors? Huh? What about the janitors identifying as female?
I think there should be a maximum wage for actors/actresses. If a minimum wage is a good idea then so is a maximim one. I think people should be paid based on the demand for their output. Dont tell me there are not actors who could do a better job than Cumberbuns. Studio should advertise roles at a firm max wage rate and try out everyone who would do it for that amount or less. Let the best man, or woman, win.
That works!
What if instead of increasing the females pay, from now on they just pay him less?
Wow! Look at how moral and enlightened he is! Virtue signalling is a sure sign of low self esteem.
Yeah, some British names certainly are a throwback to Dickens.
He’s actually a well-established British actor and a good one. Perhaps he’s most famous here as the updated Sherlock Holmes.
Im sure he means well, but I dont know what female co-star would be able to command the same amount of money - hes very well known, a hot property, so to speak, and would, of course, have the lead role. The lead always gets more money. Im sure this is true when the lead is a woman, also.
Why is he only concerned about a female co-star? Why not the cameramen (or women)? What about the person who brings food around, or the prop guy? Why shouldn’t THEY get equal pay?
Here’s a thought: Pay everyone involved in the movie $30/hour. Including Benedict Cumberbatch. That’s $60,000/year. It certainly a living wage. That’s FAIR!
