Am rereading THE WASHING OF THE SPEARS by Morris. When the Europeans first landed in South Africa, there were NO BLACKS there. Bushmen and Hottentots, but NO BLACKS. they were still far to the Northeast. Inter-tribal warfare also emptied all blacks from the area later to be known as the Orange Free State, so the Boers found an empty land to settle.
Then around 1817, SHAKA sent his Impis out, driving all blacks before him down toward South Africa. Eventually defeated in the 1880s, they began a slow infiltration of SA, just like the USA being infiltrated from Mexico.
Now blacks control South Africa, a land they never inhabited in the past, and the Boer is on the ropes.

The Dutch settled this land when it was unused, desolate with just a few tribesmen. They brought in the various tribes like guest workers. The guest workers decided it was their land and took it with the help of the bleeding hearts in the Western world.
Apartheid was not the term that the Afrikaners used in describing their policy, but it is the one that we all know. It literally means Apart Hate. The main reason for this was to protect the various tribes from each other, and keep them from seizing power and destroying the country. Mission accomplished, a great Western ally is now a dung heap. Some cultures evolve at different rates, and end up in different places. The African blacks, just are not into getting along and will probably never be. The tribes hate each other and they place very little value on life. Simply stated, black people as a group are just not intelligent or evolved enough to rule themselves. Someday they may prove that statement wrong. Most likely in a few thousand years.

Even before the recent regime change, when I visited Capetown the nicer houses all had to be like fortresses, with gates, razor wire, security cameras, etc. And yet they may be safer than the farmers, who have to patrol large areas sometimes on their own and are subject to ambush or rampages.
I can’t imagine how much worse it is now. I hope everybody who wants to get out, can get out.

They have been moving out of SA. Over the last 20 years they have moved to the US, Britain and Australia. One thing that hampers their move is that the SA government won’t let them take their banked money with them. At least that is what I have heard.
