Twenty Republican-led states are seeking to temporarily invalidate former President Barack Obamas health care law while their larger lawsuit against it proceeds.
In a February suit, Texas and Wisconsin led a coalition arguing that the Affordable Care Act is no longer constitutional after the Republican-backed tax overhaul eliminated fines for not having health care coverage.
Sixteen states with Democratic governors later sought to intervene.

20 states approve... and 30 states do not. 7 more states are undecided.
It wasn’t constitutional before.
Nor were the fines.
If they are fines people have right to a jury trial and due process.
If they are taxes then where is the delegated power given the federal to lay a tax on not complying with a federal Rule? How a tax is collected is secondary to why it is collected, the why must always be lawful too.
