Wisdom and the Smartest People Ever

We value intelligence and knowledge. With good reason.....

Now, it's hard not to notice that the pinnacle of the left being smarter than everyone came to us with one Barack Obama, with his incredibly über-intelligent, superior group of advisers and administration. Nobody was ever smarter. Ever.

Except they really weren't. For smart people, they actually did some of the dumbest things ever in public life. The tragedy of so many believing they were the smartest people ever may haunt us for years. There is a huge disconnect between the true concept of wisdom and the smartest people ever. Culturally, valuing knowledge and intellect has three main sources: the Greek philosophers, the Bible, and the Church.

Marx was the pinnacle of idiocy, not wisdom. When your thinking is upside down idiocy is wisdom.

The leftist/elites value credentials over wisdom or even intellect itself. They really believe that a newly-minted Harvard liberal arts major can better govern than leaders who have proven themselves over decades in business, the military, etc.

Of education, knowledge and wisdom, the greatest is wisdom and the least is education.

In my personal experience, it is the truly the most ignorant that are the most arrogant, the most sure of themselves and the most vocal about it.

I thought Ronald Reagan had it right when he said this:

“The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

A truly wise person has a good appreciation for what he doesn’t know.

Intelligent people don’t stand around self-consciously posing -pulling long faces and behaving like children when the ‘other guy’ wins

Because I am convinced, that a lot of class goes right along with intellect and NO ON in the “O” group showed ANY class, ever.

Wisdom is now passe, including in the institutionaled church.

Knowledge is still valued to some extent, and emotion is highly valued, but not wisdom.

Feeling is paramount on the left, doctrine is paramount on the right: neither equals spiritual wisdom.

King Solomon need not apply in today’s clergy.

Obama was pushing for “Negative” Rights way back when he was a State Senator.

He thinks the Constitution is a Permission Slip from the Government.

He was and is a Smart Ass, not smart.
