Mike Myers has paid tribute to his Austin Powers costar Verne Troyer, who died Saturday at the age of 49.

“Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him,” the actor said in a statement. “It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed.”

May Vern RIP. He left a big mark for a little guy who was exploited by the unscrupulous.

Kind of a short eulogy.

Hilarious actor in satirical scripts with the evil genius character. Some of my most favorite silly comedy.

May those who knew him and loved him grieve and find peace.

A re-enactment of humping Beyoncé’s leg may be an appropriate tribute to his on-screen character.

“Hope is not a strategy.” Aimless hope, yes, I would agree. But Mr Verne apparently placed his hope in Jesus, and was baptized before passing on. IMHO, a winning strategy for coming out of this life, smelling like a rose. 😎

That’s a little shocking.

Glad to hear it. He gave a lot of enjoyment, but led a tortured life. If he believed and was saved, he has a new, divine body now without the aches and pains.
