Aliens finally got him. That’s my theory based on nothing.
Listening to C2C now. The most riveting talk shows I have ever heard were hosted by Art Bell. RIP.
Aliens, bigfoot, shadow people, dogman, chupacabra, Mothman, Men in Black. Really there are a whole list of suspects.
am going to wait for it to be posted to youtube in the morning then will post the whole show here. I hate ads and have ad blocker.
The only thing good that happened after midnight was Art Bell. Used to listen on SW with one earphone in bed.
No pix no clix
If I had duty or made a cross country drive back in the day, I would search for Art Bell to keep me awake. I enjoyed his conversations although I did find them a little odd at times, they were always interesting. Another icon from my youth has moved on, RIP Art Bell.
I first listened to Art Bell when i worked the graveyard shift shocking shelves at a supermarket. What a great show for working. RIP, Art.
George Noory got rid of Art Bell.. And then he got rid of John B. Wells.. Both talked publicly about the back-stabbing by Noory. Noory even admitted there was bad blood between them. Still he seemed genuinely upset with Art Bells passing.
We had so much fun posting Coast to Coast when Bell hosted the show.. Great memories!

I did a cold sales phone call yesterday to a guy who is obviously lamenting the loss of Art Bell.
He wanted to know who I was? Supplier of building materials calling a builder
how I got his number? Saw it on a sign he placed at his job
How long my company had been in business? 167 years
Why I had an out of state number? Ever heard of somebody moving and not changing their phone number?
What my employee number was? Don’t have one.
How to get a hold of my boss? I offered to give him the name of the CEO of our multinational corporation, but I doubt he’d take the call.
He agreed to meet me...in a public place. Whatever.
I’m going just because I’m curious of the long term affects of paranoia on a small businessman.
They run an hour or two on the weekends in my town of his old shows. Most from the 90s. Some from the early 2000s. Fun stuff. Art was brilliant and had a great radio voice. And a little eccentric.
Before Art was truly nationally rolled out, I learned of his show on the old Prodigy White Water board. Lots of banter about him there.
Never knew about the back stabbing. But Art did quit his show several times, finally he left for whatever reason. Then he went to Sirius/XM but only for several months, then quit there.
I loved his show: great voice, great relationship with listener, great music, great guests. Just everything was “perfect”. But when he went to satellite, he had Hoagland on. Both criticized Noory terribly. Just belittled the man. It was painful for me to listen to. That ruined it for me. How am I wrong? Hoagland never was invited back to Noory’s show. Pls tell me that I am wrong in my assessment.
Wow.. If I remember correctly, Prodigy was the AOL alternative.. Forgot all about those days. Wish I had known about Art back then.. Discovered C2Cam in 2003.
Art Bell spent a little more time in the political arena in the early days of his show. As it became more popular, he seemed to focus more on the paranormal and similar things. Even though Art wasn't carried in my area for many years, it was fun reading about things he discussed on his show. Before streaming audio on the web became common, a lot of folks wanted to have his show carried on short wave radio so they could hear it.
You can tell I'm getting old as I'm much more nostalgic than I used to be.
Stocking not shocking...sorry. Never post without coffee...
