Hillary Clinton's popularity has plunged since election, poll finds
Fox News ^ | 04/18/2018 | Adam Shaw

Hillary Clinton, well over a year after she lost the 2016 election to President Trump, is less popular than ever, according to a poll released this week.

Only 27 percent of those polled had a very or somewhat positive view of the former secretary of state, according to The Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. That makes her less popular than President Trump, whose popularity registered at 35 percent. It is a new low for her in the poll, which clocked her popularity at 30 percent in August 2017.

A Journal analysis of the poll notes that the poll is a reminder of “just how unusual” Clinton is in terms of her unpopularity — even among recent losing presidential nominees who have typically experienced a post-election decline, but not to the extent Clinton has. At the time of the election, 40 percent had a positive view of her. […]

… [T]he scandals that dogged her throughout the campaign have not gone away. The question of her email use when she served as secretary of state is still in the spotlight as the FBI’s handling of the probe itself is under scrutiny. And Trump has continued to launch the occasional attack on his former election rival. …

Oh statistics... “at the time of the election, 40% had a positive view of her”

BUT, at the time of the election, 51 or 52% voted for her (the differential over 50% coming from California).

I don’t doubt that her popularity has dropped, but these numbers are hard to take seriously. Trump at 35%? Didn’t Rasmussen just have him at 51%

I hope she survives to run in the next election. I hope she gets the nomination. I hope she campaigns for demonratic candidates this fall.

I’d bet she’s arrogant enough to try to run again.

Hillary was the most unlikeable candidate in modern history.
And the worst campaigner.
Without the Democrat vote fraud machine it would not have been close.

She’s plenty arrogant enough if she can raise the money.

Hillary never had what we would call popularity. Popularity is something given to a person who has done something to gain acclaim. It is imbued on the person. What Hillary had was loyalty to the Democratic party; loyalty given to the position she held as champion for the party. As long as she was the candidate people supported her, but hardly anybody acclaimed her. When she was no longer the candidate people took back their attention and their acclaim because she was no longer the party they could vest their hopes for defeating Trump’s evil ideology.

The party remains leaderless with nobody to rally around it is a ship in a storm without a rudder. As soon as somebody assumes the title of leader, regardless of how old, ugly or inarticulate, they will skyrocket into “popularity.”

Nobody polls likely voters these days except for Rasmussen. Gallup stopped doing it; I suspect that was because Hillary was looking bad. Remember that this is a WSJ/NBC poll; if she’s that low on their poll, imagine how bad her real numbers are.

If she would have just gone away after the election, she would probably be above 50% favorable at this time and poised for a rematch with Trump in 2020.

No wonder they want to lower the voting age to 16, LOL.

Interesting.

Perhaps compulsively and perpetually lying, criminally mishandling classified material, turning millions in profit from establishing a charity, selling uranium to the Russians, cheating on a debate, and displaying a super scary mania for power and authority aren't the selling points that they used to be?

You know anyone else who has such well established credentials? She knows her way around.
