Delete Facebook Day April 15th (#BurnFacebookDown)

I've been thinking while I've had a few spare minutes on my mind, that it's really time Facebook faced the music for what it's really ALLOWED to happen with user data on its system.

Let's make no mistake here: Facebook publishes API's that allow third-party developers to access its users data. Of that there is ZERO debate. IMO, Zuckerberg and company have DELIBERATELY opened up all the user data they have to the highest bidders. This started in 2012 with the Obama Campaign which mined the hell out of Facebook data with Zuckerberg's blessing.

That practice continued unabated until Data Analytica and the Republican's figured out how to do it for their own purposes.

Now, we have Mark Zuckerberg claiming he "didn't know" and are learning daily that more "privacy breaches" are occurring on Facebook.

Wrong. They're not "privacy breaches." They're a combination of STUPID PEOPLE giving their data freely to Facebook, and Facebook monetizing their data to the highest bidders.

Well, the game's up. Especially with the publication of this article back in 2010 where Zuckerberg called Facebook users "dumb fucks."

So let's burn it down. To the ground.

This is a call to action. On April 15th, I'm calling on each and every Facebook user to #BurnFacebookDown by deleting their user account.

Facebook is estimated to have 2.2 BILLION users world wide. If only 3-5% of all Facebook users chose to #BurnFacebookDown globally, it would be the equivalent of a Denial of Service Attack simply because there's no way Facebook's Servers could handle so many delete requests at the same time.

So here it is folks, a challenge that takes little effort and sends a message: #BurnFacebookDown.

The point is, if millions do it at the same time, the volume of requests to delete should bring them down. If millions delete their data it sends a message.

I was trying to find out how to delete Facebook completely so I could delete today. I’ll wait until the 15th so maybe it will make a bigger impact if many people drop out on the same date. Hope there isn’t something in the fine print that says they can continue to steal info after I leave fb. Maybe I should change all my info. Change my picture to Zuckerbergs and claim to be transgendered.
