Former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat, is leading Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn by double digits going into the Senate race to replace retiring Sen. Bob Corker, according to a poll released Thursday.
The poll, conducted by Middle Tennessee State University, shows 45% of registered voters favor Bredesen, while just 35% would back Blackburn. In addition, 17% are undecided.
For registered independents, preference for Bredesen over Blackburn increases to 12 points. A fifth of Republican respondents would cross the aisle and vote for Bredesen, compared to just five percent of Democrats who would do so for Blackburn.
Blackburn's poor performance in the poll shows that Democrats are in striking distance to flip a long-held Republican Senate seat. When Corker last year abruptly decided to bow out of running for reelection, Blackburn quickly jumped in to take his place.

20% of Republicans will vote for Bredesen (D), the former governor. Could have coattails for Karl Dean (D) running for governor.
Why of course Republicans should worry! The Democrats have such a great platform to run on they will pick up 15 seats in the Senate and 50 seats in the House! How can voters not see the joys of Democrats raising taxes impeaching Trump throwing the borders open and repealing the second Amendment?

I guess all it takes is for the socialist-democrats and their MSM propaganda wing to even suggest some impropriety or behavior and they send the republicans and conservatives scattering like roaches.

The RINOs will screw around and lose control of both and Trump will be screwed. Not that they do much for him anyway. If they get control, then you will see them do everything they can in the last two years to run Trump out of town. They will start the impeachment crap and do everything they can to achieve it. If they have both houses, they will impeach him.

They have the illegals voters. There have been an influx of people in Texas that are here only to vote democrat.
Because the people who vote Democrat for the most part don't pay taxes or if they do what they pay is negligible. Democrat voters are on the receiving end of government largess so naturally they want higher taxes on the productive segment. I suspect the average Democrat voter does not get up in the morning and say to herself (little gender equality there) "I'm going to better my position by working harder and learning new skills" but rather "I'm just as good as those people who make so much money by taking what should belong to me and I'm going to vote for the candidate who gives me what I'm owed." Democrat voters have a bone deep (and completely undeserved) sense of entitlement.

They've been taught to hate Trump by the media and they do. Open borders don't mean anything to them. They hate the responsibility that comes with owning a firearm, and most Democrats are not people who want responsibility - rather they want the promise (however false) of security that big government gives (but doesn't deliver)
