Yep. Small price to pay to set my family up permanently.

You missed the part about the money going for his care apparently.

By the time he dies there will not be much of anything left.

No I didn’t. I simply wouldn’t accept the care at that price. There are other ways.

You would not have a choice.

As someone who was brain damaged all choices would be made for you and usually there is someone appointed by the court to see that the money is spent on your care.

The proposition is I’d volunteer to get my a$$ kicked for 35M. I would have already given my wife special Power of Attorney to take me to my 2nd country of citizenship, thereby removing me from the courts jurisdiction. There is always a way.

Would you accept brain damage for $35 mil?

That kind of forethought would have shown that it was planned.

The insurance company would not pay up and you and your spouse would be in jail for fraud.

Yep, this kind of gang based assault can occur just about anywhere in Atlanta metro although certainly more likely in some regions more than others. Never happened to me but has to my son twice. Wrong move targeting him.

The son is an athlete. Martial arts from 8-15. After getting a black belt, got into kick boxing. Baseball, basketball, football and swimming then settled on swimming as the sport and was in the Texas state tournament about 5 times. An adult now and trains with free weights and works off energy with a punching bag.

Soon after moving to Atlanta, he was 17 and working in his first job at a Holisters at a mall in the north suburbs. Leaving work, 3 gang guys hanging outside decided to hassle the preppy white guy. They chose poorly. A few moments later, the 3 were immobile on the ground and 5 minutes later the police showed up. Mall security was a no show until the police showed up. Police assumed that my son was the initiator until mall security showed them the surveillance tape for the area.

About 5 years ago my son and his wife were out on the town in a real nice night life area down town. A group of 4 or 5 started following the down the sidewalk then started harassing them. One of the guys grabbed his wife then the son laid him out. That explosion took them out of their game and they dragged their buddy off.

My son, his wife and myself have a CCL now.

We have no experience with tramatic brain injuries, but plenty with dementia. When assisted living/skilled nursing care is required it can run between 6 to 10 grand per month in our neck of the woods. $35 mil over a lifetime isn’t all that much, especially if the lawyers get a third first.

Those of you who want to label these vial, dark completed gang members ‘Amish’ are ignorant. Jim Rob would not like it if you called them what you are really thinking.

Get your @$$’s out into Amish country and see what this peace loving people are really like.

This boy is ruined for life. There’s not enough money in the world that would make me sign up for that.
