If you have a NETFLIX account, I suggest watching Deep Undercove, episode 7, called Operation Casablanca. There is a reason the swamp likes Mexico. In this episode US customs has infiltrated the world of Money Laundering by the cartels. It also tells how DEA and the DOJ shut it down and why. It really got my blood to boiling and why I fear for the Presidents safety in his quest to shut down the cartels.
Just added to my list...
Many other good episodes also. Well worth watching.
OPERATION CASABLANCA CONTINUES ITS SWEEP
U.S. Indicts 26 Mexican Bankers in Laundering of Drug Funds - New York Slimes
But do they tell about the defense Minister of Mexico wanting to launder 1 Billion dollars of drug bribes? the operation was shut down before the real players were revealed and prosecuted. I suspect another reason was the trail may have lead to some US politicians the swamp did not want exposed.
Just skimmed over the links you provided. They all covered for the corrupt Mexican officials saying they were surprised when in fact they were at the heart of the operation.
Operation Casablanca
Investigation of Money Launderers
Stopped When It Reached Too High
Thank you for those links, especially the last one, stopped when it reached to high.
Coincidental timing...
Watched Sicario again. Just a reminder how ‘fouled’ up the drug war is and how so much money will continue to keep it “fouled’ up.
KYPD
Don’t kid yourself, U.S. banks are knee deep in it too. And why not? The most they’ve ever faced when caught is a fine. The cost of doing business.
Looks like Bill Clinton shut the operation down and fired Rubin in the process...
That is exactly what happened. The reason it was so successful is because the state department and DOJ was not privy to the operation from the onset, yet took credit for it when they shut it down.
Thanks.
