Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, wants a lawsuit brought by porn actress Stormy Daniels moved to federal court, and claims the woman could owe $20 million in damages for violating a non-disclosure agreement.

I know someone here will know the answer, but what would stop any of these guys or group from setting up some type of, blind trust, to come up with this money and no one being allowed to know who funded it?

Interesting. Was reading about this earlier tonight. She had agreement, now won’t shut up. Whatever penalties allowed, seem fair.
She’s a non-story story IMO. Don’t think anyone outside the political left really cares. And I doubt those guys really wanna throw $20mill in Trump’s pockets anyway.

I was waiting for Team Trump to finally get around to hitting back. The amount of damages sought isn’t the most significant aspect of the suit, though it has to be high enough to be worthwhile.
Taking Miss Daniels’ depositon will be the beginning of putting her credibility at issue. Anything about her that could be relevant to her credibility will be fair game during discovery and at trial.
That should be one heck of a Pandora’s Box.
Nope. It’s a win-win for the President. If Mss Daniels ponies up he can construe it as an admission that she was lying.
If it goes into pre trial discovery, Miss Daniels’ history gets examined with a microscope for anything that could be relevant to her credibility as a witness.
This is a civil suit, she will be expected to take the stand. There is no 5A available.
And just to add, if Stormy came up with that kind of money, rest assured, it’s source would be fully investigated by Team Trump.

She’s kind of a has-been porn star, anyway, because of her age and she’s now using this to market her, strip club tour.
Ain’t that the truth. There’s no telling what she’s got going on. And if she thinks that she’s just going to be allowed to walk in there, run her trap without having to answer some questions, she’s dreaming.
She’s no different than McCabe, Stzok, Page, Ohr’s, etc. They’re puppets for the puppet masters, nothing more. And, in their eagerness they’re too blind to see that they are nothing but cannon fodder, that will be discarded once they’re no longer useful.
And that’s my question. All of a sudden she comes up with $20million or whatever the number is or comes into the room with some crazy high dollar defense attorney, that she obviously couldn’t afford. Someone’s paying those bills and I’m thinking that the Trump Team will be all over that like a, fat kid on cake.
I’m a firm believer that he has a rather large contingent of patriots, within all the Intel and law enforcement agencies. Can he use any or all of that info in court? No. But, he can, for damn sure, light Twitter on fire with some, seemingly, very pertinent information, when the timing seems so perfect.

The $20 million is contract damages for the washed up porn star running her yap.

It is also an admission that “David Denett” in the NDA is Donald Trump. It’s pretty clear, the man slept with a porn star within months of his son’s birth. Personally I dislike that behavior. He can make up for it with some arrests and some trials and some long (or short) ropes, but I find it really distasteful.
Paying the current penalties shouldn’t keep future penalties from taking affect - could very well get to the hundreds of millions....

Billionaires live in a totally different world than you and I. The rules are a bit different. They can have anything they want, and it’s a lot harder for them to resist temptation. Milenia, coming from the high fashion world, knows it too.
