"We heard shots for a second. We heard one shot, and after that it was just terrifying. We went in the classroom and waited it out," Nicolas Krate said.
But that shot heard was actually from a deputy who accidentally discharged his gun, injuring his leg, Oglesby said."

I'll wager you didn't see this on ANY national news.
A teacher mistook conbstruction noise for gun shots and sounded the alarm. However, one shot was fired - by a responding Broward COunty Deputy Sheriff.

If the total incompetence, ineptness and outright stupidity of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office did not put innocent lives at stake, it would actually be comical.
These guys are the embodiment of “keystone cops”.
