Peyton Manning may be ready for some football, but not on Monday Night.
Manning has decided that if he becomes an NFL TV analyst, it will be on Foxs new Thursday night package and not on ESPNs Monday Night Football, sources told The Post. He is still undecided if he will work for Fox or not.
Both ESPN and Fox have wanted Manning to try to replicate the sizzle CBS had with Tony Romo last fall. So what was a two-network pursuit for Manning is now down to one.
Fox continues a concerted effort to turn Thursday Night Football into a bigger prime-time event than ESPNs Monday night with the 41-year-old Manning. He sold all of his Papa Johns franchises in Denver yesterday , but is still honoring his commercial contract . I have no idea what that means .
Their was a story that ESPN was prepared to back the money truck to get Manning but apparently there wasnt enough money for him to work weekends prepping and work for ESPN.
Is he gonna run for the Senate?
Yeah, I’m sure that there are a lot of other things that you have to do if you work MNF @ ESPN (appearances on Sportscenter, PTI, podcasts, NFL Live, etc)
Fox had a big hand in getting him to drive the pace car at Daytona and doing interviews etc. I’m sure they will remind him ;)
Staying up late to watch sh*tty matchups in a league thin on talent and overflowing with mediocre teams. Yeah.
Manning should go Hollywood. He’s a natural actor.
ESPN has rotted into a left-wing, politically correct, black supremacist nightmare. Everyone in sports knows this. It is toxic.
There is NO WAY Manning wanted to be associated with that network. No way.
It was only a 6 year franchise co-ownership deal with PJ's
I’ve seen a few clips of him on SNL (via youtube) and he’s hilarious.
I like Romo as an analyst, but he does talk a little too much.
