He shouldn't have swiped right.
A Camas, Washington woman repeatedly slashed her boyfriend with a samurai sword after she claimed to find a Tinder dating app on his phone, police said.
Emily Javier faces an attempted murder charge in the early Saturday attack that left Alex Lovell fighting for his life, court records show.
"I just stabbed him!" Javier, 30, told officers outside the couple's Northeast Garfield home around 1:50 a.m., according to a probable cause affidavit. "You guys need to help him!"
The officers entered the bedroom and found the walls splattered with blood and Lovell, 29, curled up in ball, the police report shows. He was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Javier told police she hatched the assault on Lovell, her boyfriend of two years, after a string of startling discoveries.
First, there was the dating app on Lovell's phone, she said. Then she saw sensual scratches on his back. Finally, Javier found red hair in the couple's shower drain, according to the police report.
Her hair, on the other hand, is dyed green.
In her interview with police, Javier fumed over Lovell's penchant for playing video games. She also said that she had suspected he had cheated on her before, an accusation he always denied.
Enraged, Javier said she went to a shopping mall and purchased a samurai sword.
She said she then spent the next week stewing and plotting her violent revenge.
"I thought I was going to stab him while he was sleeping," Javier told police, according to the affidavit.
Her anger peaked Friday night when Lovell returned home and ignored her, Javier said. Around 9 p.m., she went into the couple's bedroom, where she had taped the samurai sword and two knives to her side of the bed, the police report shows.
Lovell later joined her and drifted off to sleep. Javier told police she hid his phone so he couldn't call for help.
After the lights went out, Javier said she brought the samurai sword down on Lovell's throat, according to the affidavit.
Javier told police that her boyfriend started screaming and yelled for her to stop.
She didn't.
"I was trying to kill him," she told police.
Javier eventually called 911.
She was arrested and booked in the Clark County jail on first-degree attempted murder charges.
She made a brief appearance Monday in Clark County Superior Court.
Jail records show Javier's bail is set at $350,000.
“Her hair is dyed green”
You don't try to kill him.
That’s not keeping it real, yo.
Just a guess but this one sounds just a bit over the “Crazy Line”
How’s he going to learn?
If he survives, I think he’ll learn a lesson..... of some kind.
Hmm...a green-haired samurai sword swinging homicidal maniac with a jealous streak. But romantic...
She looks like a character out of a bad futuristic dystopian movie.
Someone will make a movie of this....
Ha, we cross-posted on the movie theme.....
Woman to psychiatrist: “My boyfriend didn’t seem excited by me anymore, so I dyed my hair green to really spice up our bedroom life! That didn’t work, so then I bought the Samurai sword.”
He had a high opinion of her and he dated her because he thought she was a cut above the others.
