Jim Corbett mentions in some of his hunting books that "Bears are no respecters of tigers," and would often chase off tigers.

I looked at the video. That looked like a small black bear, even so it held his own pretty well. If it had been one of our big Alaskan grizzlies, or brown bears...

Whoever posted this as a “vicious fight” is a damn FOOL! There two are frolicking. They know each other! The tiger would’ve killed the bear within a few seconds. It’s rough play, but not even rough for these two. Another piece of BS by a snowflake city slicker.

Fox site hypes it as a violent battle. The bear may be serious because she has a cub nearby, but that tiger is just goofing off.

In Korean mythology, Dangun, a legendary ruler, is said to have descended from a bear that won a contest with a tiger.
I only know this because I was assigned to the 94th MP Battalion in Korea, and the unit crest featured a bear in recognition of the unit’s service during the Korean war :)

Incredible!
Tank versus rogue, tank wins.
Shocking considering how massive the tiger’s front legs and shoulders are.

Those aren’t full grown black bears, they’re half grown cubs.......Nevertheless, the bear got lucky and learned a lesson on how to fight.

Animal Face-Off did an episode matching a Siberian tiger against an Asiatic brown bear (equivalent to an Alaskan brown bear). The bear ultimately killed the tiger because of its superior strength. At least, that's what the show's experts concluded would occur.
