The 5-year-old girl was reportedly not seen by a doctor, despite having an emergency appointment, because it operated a "10-minute rule."

I don’t know how things are in Britain but I can tell you I have waited more than an hour after my appointment time to see a doctor numerous times.

If a doctor refused to see me because I was a few minutes late we would have words. I may end up with a disturbing the peace charge but we would have words.

If he refused to see my sick kid because we were a few minutes late I might end up with a destruction of private property charge after I broke up his office furniture.

I don’t wait that long. I’ll leave. I had an appointment for a physical at 9:00 I checked in at 5 til and they took me right in and back to the little room. Nurse came right in and took temp, etc. 45 minutes later I hadn’t heard from anyone and walked out and left. The next day gal called me on the phone and said they were going to have to bill my insurance anyway. I said....if you do I’ll bill the doc as a no show. They didn’t.

I made an appointment about 18 hours in advance. An emergency came up and I called before the office opened and left a message cancelling the appointment. I was having a problem with My Chart or I would have also left a message there also.

I got an email the next day about the missed appointment. I called and explained I had left a message. The following day I got a phone call and I again explained that I did call. They said it wasn’t 24 hours in advance. I told them the appointment wasn’t made 24 hours in advance. The following day I got a letter in the mail. That was the last straw. I called and wasn’t real nice. She said she would ask the office manager to remove the mark. I told her not to bother, I would find another doctor. I did find another doctor.

They called a couple days later to let me know the missed appointment had been removed from my file.

I will never see another Mercy Health doctor again.

I have had so many horror stories with them.

A few that have increased my chances of getting cancer. I refused to pay those bills and they never said a word. Another error where they didn’t send my prescription in, even though they said they did. I went from Wed. A before Thanksgiving until Mos. evening causing me to have simple partial seizures.
