This could help schools that won’t allow conceal carry for teachers.
Would it be on a 20 minute delay like the surveillance system at Stoneman Douglas High?
And what happens when the gun man realizes what is going on, as other students are falling asleep around him?
These type of things only work once, before criminals adapt.
Maybe we should have them all pee themselves or fart so their attackers will be less interested in them.
Maybe we should give them golf clubs and fireplace pokers or some big block kitchen knives and maybe some baseball bats, because we don’t like guns for some stupefying reason.
If you don’t want to be killed, then arm and defend yourselves.
But DO NOT come crying to me when you’re dead and then ask me to disarm myself, because I most certainly will not.
The Israelis found the best method after the Ma’alot massacre in 1974. They armed the teachers.

How about single entry with metal detectors. Also, the custodians can be trained to carry weapons. They know the schools better than anyone and the position could become a coveted, high-paying job.
Just use VR to teach kids, they can stay home with their moms while they get an education with other children in virtual classrooms.
After they are done they can play with the other kids in the neighborhood.
Just get rid of the damn gun free zones. We don’t need to”weaponize” our schools. Just knowing that anyone could be carrying will deter most shooters. Why do people have to complicate everything?
Protecting our schools shouldn’t cost anything.
There were 850 hostages and about 130 casualties from the gas.
That is a 15% casualty rate and these were adults.
School age children are much more susceptible to the gas then adults so you would expect to have a even higher casualty rate.
I do believe this would be a case of the cure being worse then the disease.
And what would you do about a shooter who was not in the class room?
A set of swimming goggles would render this system an irritant to the innocents while the perp mowed even more people down because they could not see to run and get away.
Not a viable option.

Some said the same thing after 9/11 when discussing ways to harden airplane cockpits. One idea was to release knock-out gas into the passenger cabin if there was a problem. Why are people so afraid of allowing others to be armed?
20,000 feet won't kill you but you will pass out or be in a stupor.
