The judge thought they said “Bitcoin”...

I always root for the Corgi.

I see a few of these dogs now and then on my walk with my mutt. Yappy little things, a lot of false bravado, kind of like a chihuahua.

Bichons make good pets, but it should be a requirement of every show that the winner at least *look* like a dog, not a cotton ball with a thyroid condition.

I have a bichon. He has his own nanny too so a little high maintenance. I just showed him the winners’ picture and he took notice!

They should have a ‘rescued’ category. Best dog you could find.

Bichon frise becomes America's top dog

On Lake St. Clair here in S.E. Michigan, they're the bait of choice when trolling for muskies........LOL!

I always root for the working dogs and the herders. It pains me when the little foofoo dogs win.

I thought the Schnauzer, Pug and Border Collie were better but the judge liked the Bichon! Beautiful dogs all, there really wasn’t a bad choice.

As Mike Baxter says, “They aren’t dogs if they can be beaten up by a cat.” My wife has two bichon - shih tzu mix dogs. They are very loving, but not the smartest dogs in the tent.

Very disappointing. The Border Collie exemplified the breed in every way, including it’s constant attention on the handler. In fact, it needed very little handling at all.

This was the only actual dog in the show. Too bad it had to be pulled over a hematoma in his ear. Damn!

That other creature that won is horrifying, not even a canine. Ew!

Our Bichon "Indy" was the finest dog we ever had. Gorgeous, great with children and family, very intelligent, fun dog, easy to train, loyal, and they are hypo allergenic: have hair instead of fur, hardly shed at all so the breed is perfect for those who are usually alergic to dogs. He also made a wonderful watch dog, notifying us immediately if anyone came around.

The only "downside" was the breed is a little high maintenance. Regimine: lightly brush daily to maintain the "poof" look found in the picture and once every month to two a visit to the groomers. Apart from this and normal visits to the vets that's it.

Our dog looked like the posted picture only a little apricot in color. He lived 15 plus years and is sorely missed.

If you are looking for a super family dog this breed should be high on your list.
