I’m with this Mexican man and I’m so “sick and tired” (borrowing the phrase) of little brats screaming and crying in stores, restaurants and their tone deaf parents don’t do anything to stop them nor remove them from the place. In my day we knew better our parents would had us out of there and smacked our bottoms all the way to the car!

Never in my life have I really seen an unruly kid in a restaurant, store or other public setting. I know they exist, but it’s never bothered me. Occasionally I have crying kids in Walmart, but something is bothering them. Most of the time I see parents taking sick kids out into public. They are either forced too, or just un-empathetic about it.
Even when I was a younger man, kids in the restaurant never bothered me. I’m told I was meant to be a father all my life.
But no, my kids do not deserve, never will deserve, some stranger coming along and treating them poorly. Never. I wouldn’t do it another, and I wouldn’t tolerate it done to mine.
Now a few years ago I caught a big, dumb guy beating the snot out of his daughter in a store because she grabbed at a box of cereal. I cold cocked him so hard that he just hit the floor. Another father gave me a pat on the back and told me to run - “I didn’t see anything”

Anyone striking my child has a very, very good chance of ending up seriously injured or worse. Especially if that person is intoxicated.
