Erin Hamlin has led Team USA out for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang after being named as flag carrier ahead of Shani Davis, who boycotted the ceremony. Hamlin, a four-time Olympian and winner of a luge bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi games, beamed a broad smile as she led out the athletes competing at the games in South Korea to the accompaniment of 'Gangnam Style'. The 31-year-old was chosen in a coin toss with, speedskater Shani Davis, one of just a few black athletes in TeamUSA, who says he should have been chosen to carry the Stars and Stripes.

Gangnam Style ?
Is this the Olympics or Golden Globes ?
The green monster of envy.
I’m sure that anybody who voted for Shanni Davis is now convinced that the coin toss was the correct result.
He boycotts thereby making it better
Send this racist, America hating, black SOB home ... and make him pay his own way too.
Kick him off the team.
Well, the athletes voted on it and that vote ended in a tie. The tie was broken by a coin toss. Those were the rules.
Maybe he can carry the black lives matter flag.
The coin was racist. /sarc
Isn’t Davis the skater who decided not to participate in a team event at the last Winter Olympics? I don’t recall the details.
Is this some ridiculous excuse for JJ to private jet to Korea to fund raise? Unless this guy competes in a diaper with a rattle it makes no sense.
Din’t they know that like SAT scores, the coin was supposed to be weighted by an extra 40 milligrams on the diversity side?
They tossed a coin and it came up White European Male.
dead on!!!
Wait, so he wasn’t going to participate, but then said he would if he wins the coin toss? So it’s “rayciss” not to pick him, but he wasn’t really gonna participate anyway. Got it. #soreloser
More anti-whitey propaganda.
Female actually but White nonetheless.
If I owned a car wash, I wouldn’t hire him.
First of all, it is a joke sport. How many people speed skate? I suspect that any American hockey Olympian could go faster than this guy if you gave them a few weeks of training and a pair of speed skates. Heck, I imagine the same goes for any Division I NCAA player.
Second, he lost the vote to a perfectly reasonable candidate. What a crybaby.
Third, going back to my first point, some of these disciplines are complete jokes and really cheapen the idea of Olympic competition.
