The Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl on Sunday night, beating the favored New England Patriots, and even though they played in Minneapolis, there was a distinctly Early Americana vibe with the two colonial-era powerhouses and their mascots Patriots and Eagles facing each other. Saturday Night Live ran with that on Saturday night, pitting the Patriots of New England (including Connecticut!) against the Philadelphia delegation (the "Iggles") at a Revolutionary War council in 1775 Philadelphia.

Sounds more like Pittsburgh accents though there were references to hoagies and Wawa.

Though I am a constant reminder that correlation is not causation, there is a seldom noted predictor of stock market performance - with a steady and consistent record - that shows that in years when a team that was part of the old National Football Conference wins the Super Bowl the stock market does fantastic compared to negative or just so so when a team from the former American Football League wins.

Yup..I go to Pgh & Akron once or twice every summer (incl the furry convention in the former)
And the er ah Kennedys have their ah own accents
