I forgot my phone on my bedside table for 4 days. Never missed it. When it beeped that the battery was low I recovered it. I got several texts during the hiatus, but nothing was of any great import.

Smart ‘phone, dumb user, I suppose.

I’d go down a private aisle and pleasure myself.

Just to screw with the armband.

Not a dumb user, but a user who is not “used” by the phone. We do have a prepaid phone that is used for long car trips, etc. It can be a tool. I don’t want it to be a lifestyle.

Reminds of a Hebrew word I ran across just in the last day or two, not looking for anything in particular:

Institutionalisation (מיסוד)

Institutionalisation (or institutionalization) refers to the process of embedding some conception (for example a belief, norm, social role, particular value or mode of behavior) within an organization, social system, or society as a whole. The term may also be used to refer to committing a particular individual or group to an institution, such as a mental or welfare institution. The term may also be used in a political sense to apply to the creation or organisation of governmental institutions or particular bodies responsible for overseeing or implementing policy, for example in welfare or development.

The full spelling =

mem (מם) - 80
yud (יוד) - 20
samech (סמך) - 120
vav (וו) - 12
dalet (דלת) - 434

= 666

Go figure. It's always something. Looked like a good thread to mention that.

If the nudge doesn’t improve performance, the voltage will be increased on a logarithmic scale until a result is achieved.

Like electronic shock collars to keep dogs from barking or wandering off the property? I used a keyed security card for work to unlock doors. The wrist band could unlock doors you were permitted to open, not unlock ones you weren’t, and then get into serious amperage if you tried the exist door during working hours or start gradually as your lunch hour ends to speed you back to your station before the electrifying experience of being late sets in.

For Amazon Prime members, free shipping of the body if the employee is not retained. Non members will have the shipping charges deducted from the final paycheck.
