Of course, the counter to your "pearl clutcher" crap is to point out that your side of the argument consists of robotic Yes-men and trained seals who agree to anything and everything Trump says even when it runs counter to the issues he got elected on. If I wanted a path to citizenship for nearly 2 million illegals, I would have voted for Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.
I’m torn on this. If we did nothing but approve DACA, it would just be a matter of time before the DACA people got a path to citizenship. You were never going to hold the line at a separate path for what are the most sympathetic group in the illegal bunch.
SO, if we were just acknowledging that, throwing it in the mix now would be a great move, like ‘Look, I even went farther than they asked on this, so what’s their problem’ — we’d be giving away something we were going to lose eventually anyway.
As bad as it is (although if we got a real wall within 2 years worth it) 1.8 million is now the new starting point.
Sorry,does not compute... [beep beep]
I’m no Kool-Aid drinker for anyone, including Trump, but I’m willing to wait for the details, specifically, WHICH 1.8 million “Dreamers” (I hate that friggin’ term!) will be ELIGIBLE, under what conditions and over what length of time? Under the right conditions, the final result could be much, much smaller.
Have you ever negotiated before?
Not just that but the proposal alone wont gain him one vote and will lose many voters who voted for him because of his immigration stance......which was opposite from the amnesty hes now proposing.
I walked away from Bush and the Republican Party because of his .....see you at the signing BS.
