The FISA Abuse Memo Unveiled; What Exactly Is In the Memo, According to Intel Insiders

...

Six U.S. agencies created a stealth task force, spearhead by CIA’s Brennan, to run domestic surveillance on Trump associates and possibly Trump himself.

To feign ignorance and to seemingly operate within U.S. laws, the agencies freelanced the wiretapping of Trump associates to the British spy agency GCHQ.

The decision to insert GCHQ as a back door to eavesdrop was sparked by the denial of two FISA Court warrant applications filed by the FBI to seek wiretaps of Trump associates.

GCHQ did not work from London or the UK. In fact the spy agency worked from NSA’s headquarters in Fort Meade, MD with direct NSA supervision and guidance to conduct sweeping surveillance on Trump associates.

The illegal wiretaps were initiated months before the controversial Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.

The Justice Department and FBI set up the meeting at Trump Tower between Trump Jr., Manafort and Kushner with controversial Russian officials to make Trump’s associates appear compromised.

Following the Trump Tower sit down, GCHQ began digitally wiretapping Manafort, Trump Jr., and Kushner.

"I thought treason warranted the electric chair."

Firing squad, actually...

If someone volunteered to provide one round per each firing squad, I have no doubt that there would be a nationwide stampede of volunteers to supply all the rest...

One German gentleman was much disliked and they got off on not being around when he needed an escort to the bathroom. I tried to chat him up and asked the stupid question about what he most wanted to do in life. His reponse was, Get my enemies before I die. Needless to say, it was difficult to find a response.

But even very low-level, uninvolved people are going to remember and have stories.

If true then Judge Napolitano was correct, he said this almost a year ago on Fox News. He was then suspended and forced to grovel for doing so.

_____

Napolitano is fine ........

I just hold out the wish that he could drop the asinine cackling, raucous laugh when he ends many interviews. It's very lame and seemingly defensive.

Watch him on with Varney in the morning. Nap nearly always ends the interview with that strange unbalanced cackle.

But....... he's a good guy.

They deliberately framed Trump.

What did the President know?

What did the President do?

Unlike just covering up Watergate after the fact, this time, the President likely directed the crimes.

But since it’s Dems main stream media covering a Dem president, unless we have Congresional hearings the public won’t know. I don’t trust trials of Dems in D.C. A jury of mainly Dem voters is not going to convict a Dem administration member. At least one won’t answer truthfully when asked if they can weigh the evidence impartially.

tell me how the system of checks and balances gets changed so that a domestic counter-intelligence operation can work unchecked against the interest of the American people.

I believe it started in the Clinton administration with three specific events and some ancillary incidents:

  1. Mass firing all 93 US Attorneys in one day and replacing them with Clinton appointees. Previous Presidents fired selected US Attorneys over a period of time.
  2. The "Gorelick Wall." Jamie Gorelick, then the Deputy Attorney General under Janet Reno, established a policy forbidding the sharing of intelligence between the CIA, FBI, and NSA. In hindsight, the belief is that she was protecting Bill Clinton's campaign fundraising abuses, but the unintended consequence is that the intelligence agencies missed the evidence of the 9/11 plot.
  3. TWA 800. Occuring in July 1996 (in the heart of the Clinton reelection campaign), the FBI was actively investigating a missile strike theory. Several days into the investigation the CIA took over investation, discarded hundreds of eye-witness accounts, and create an implausible "zoom climb" video to explain a center fuel tank explosion.
  4. 700 FBI files. Disavowed White House aide Craig Livingstone acquired confidential FBI files on most "players" in Washington, which the Clinton's allegedly used as "leverage" in policy negotiations.
  5. Related attempts to coordinate the mining of raw intelligence, such as "Able Danger," were shut down by Gorelick's wall. There were claims that Able Danger discovered the Mohamed Atta terrorist cell a year before the 9/11 attack, but key government officials changed their stories during the 9/11 Commission study.
  6. "Open" FBI Investigations. Attorney General Janet Reno never closed any FBI investigations. By keeping them open, this allowed her to decline to comment on "ongoing investigations," of which there were many in the Clinton administration. This was an early politicization of the FBI as a tool to protect the incumbent administration.
  7. Late in the Clinton administration, an eavesdropping system named "Echelon" was changed from military/diplomatic espionage by a new FBI system called "Carnivore" to sniff general international TCP/IP communications channels. Not limited to known suspected targets, this system monitored all traffic for specic keywords whether or not an American citizen was involved in the communication.

The Clintons learned by experience that, no matter how egregious the crime or lie, repeated denial is all it takes in Washington to skirt the consequences (Monica Lewinsky and Paula Jones excepting, although Clinton's penalties were minor).

Fast forward to 2000 and the Bush-Gore election. Here, we see parallels with the Trump-Clinton election:

The 2000 election is probably the flash point for when we see the radicalization of the MSM. The Clinton administration held up Presidential transition funds while Gore's challenge worked its way through the Florida courts. The MSM echoed the "selected, not elected" meme despite their own post-election reviews of Florida ballots showing that, no matter how many different ways they counted the votes, Bush still won Florida. The MSM never mentioned that if Gore had only won his or Clinton's home states, Florida would have been moot. The MSM ridiculed anyone who repeated the news that the outgoing Clinton staff trashed the White House when they left. The MSM said that Bush was a "dry drunk." The MSM said that Bush was dumb. The MSM resented that Bush went to bed early, rose early, and vacationed in Crawford, TX.

Eight months into Bush's first term, 9/11 happened. Bush emerged as a popular wartime leader (remember his speech at the rubble with the bullhorn?), and Democrats were now forced to fast-track the confirmations of Bush's remaining Cabinet nominees. When the United States ultimately invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, the MSM grudgingly went along as "embedded journalists," to provide "context" to the "narrative" that would follow. Our intelligence agencies were deeply focused on wartime surveillance and ultimately the hunt for Saddam Hussein, and likely didn't have the bandwidth to focus on internal domestic spying on political opponents yet (Watergate still resonated).

Two interesting incidents resulted from the Iraq War:

  1. Blaming the intelligence agencies for not finding WMD in Iraq, saying that they misinterpreted the data. Democrats alleged that Bush ordered the falsification of intelligence in order to manipulate Democrats into voting for the war effort (Ted Kennedy: "Week after week after week he told lie after lie after lie..."). The "intelligence community," while existing as a formal body since 1981, was now coined as an opposition force.
  2. The outing of Valeria Plame as a CIA agent. Although Plame was known in Washington DC as a CIA analyst, Democrats ginned up a huge scandal to attack the Bush administration, but ended up only jailing Vice-President Dick Cheney's Chief-of-Staff Scooter Libby. This was also said to turn the "intelligence community" against Republicans.
Fast forward to the Bush-Kerry election of 2004. The MSM, in the form of Dan Rather, used forged military documents to accuse President Bush of avoiding deployment to Vietnam. The MSM mocked former John Kerry Swift-Boat crew members who spoke against Kerry's character as an officer in Vietnam. The MSM coined the word "swift-boating" to mean attacking a Democrat with false accusations. Note that Bush was not "swift-boated by Rather, but instead, the MSM claimed that the supporting documents were "fake but accurate." The MSM showed their willingness to take the side of Democrats to cover up anything harmful to their side.

Fast forward to the 2008 election between McCain-Obama. The MSM imputes all sorts of optimism onto Barack Obama, while simultaneously attacking Sarah Palin as an uneducated hick from Alaska. Once Obama takes office, the MSM either downplays, covers up, or supports the following:

There is more, but you can see how the Obama administration slowly, systematically, politicized each federal department to serve liberal Democrat interests. The counter-intelligence agencies became normalized to work for the attainment of the liberal agenda above all else. The extent of the abuses was not known outside the halls of the various departments, and it was expected to remain unspoken after Hillary Clinton took over. The MSM was not interested in harming fellow liberals, and either looked the other way or actively participated in coordinating the cover-up (remember JournoList?).

These agencies are now being weaponized against Donald Trump in a last-ditch effort at self-survival.

I hope this answers your question.

I don’t take his placement in that list as definitive. After all, we’ve learned much since it was originally written and we don’t know where he took the list from.

Most of that is rehash of what I already knew, but was forgotten or lost in the haze of the past, but some of that was quite enlightening. Presented together like you have, it is actually a great way to set the larger context for how we got where we are and makes it seem a lot less like conspiracy. Nothing that you presented is really disputable, yet taken together seems almost fantastical. How can all this be true? Republicans can’t get away with the slightest smidgen of that without getting slaughtered in the media and court of public opinion. The only possible way that all of this corruption could have occurred is if the underlying premise true; The upper levels of the agencies of this government that are not the elected representatives are a corrupt force for one political party, and they’ve become entrenched for long enough that they have worked their way inside the offices and operations of the elected representatives as well as the executive rooms of major media outlets, so there is nothing the people can even do to get their voice heard and there is nothing that the oversight committees can do to dismantle it. Even when the people elect a president to give them hope for justice, they are let down.
