How about formally merging both days? That should cause some exploding heads on both sides of the issue.

It must have been nice a few years ago when he could credibly fantasize about a big career in GOP politics.

George P would be an insignificant ambitious airhead if he didn’t have the Bush political machine greasing the skids for him. But he does so we are forced to pay attention to him.

I agree in the sense, you mean. But after identifying him as a sanctimonious hater of American tradition, we should pivot to demand respect for that tradition. As you certainly have demonstrated many times, that tradition is both honorable, as well as providing innumerable role models, which properly appreciated, guide each new generation in the right direction.

I kinda doubt that Rush will address the Texas Land Commissioner position.

I’m willing to bet a $10.00 donation to FR if he does.

You keep track.

I agree with you on the Bushes. They are indeed pathetic.

I doubt that TLC is the upper limit of GPB’s ambitions.

” “Shoot four more and we’ll get a week off.” The Greaseman”

Isn’t that the comment that got him banished from DC, the second time?

What ever became of him?

Bushes are not Texans, they’re Connecticut Yankees in ten gallon hats.

” we should pivot to demand respect for that tradition”

I’m all for it even if it’s a lost cause in CA. The main traditions I now see being rewarded belong to Latin America and South Asia.

That’s great according to our neoconservative schoolmarms who join hands with Obama in condemning pre-1965 America.

The 9th issued a restraining order against 187 right after it passed. Although the voters approved it by a wide margin, the 9th circuit negated the people's will so I do think that has had a lot to do with keeping California a magnet for illegals.

Just what the Bush family ordered, you're right about that.

For once in a long time, I agree with a Bush. Why are we celebrating the first of many Democrat temper tantrums that cost hundreds of thousands of Americans their lives?

I'm all in favor of keeping the Confederate monuments up, not as a memorial, but as a reminder of something we should never allow to happen again.

I think the final straw was when he said, after playing a Lauren Hill song, “I guess that’s why they drag them from trucks” referring to the black man who was murdered in Texas by white guys who chained the man to the bumper and dragged him to his death. I don’t know what Don is doing now but I used to listen to him driving to work on DC101 and almost ran off the road numerous times.

” The 9th issued a restraining order against 187 right after it passed.”

No. The 9th Circuit never reviewed Prop 187.

It was Mariana Pfaelzer who conspired with Grey Davis to strike down Prop 187. She was a US District Court Judge.

Prop 187 was passed while Pete Wilson was Governor. Pfaelzer quickly issued a permanent injunction and Wilson appealed.

But corrupt, activist hack Pzaelzer dragged out finalizing her decision for 3 years. Long enough for Pete Wilson to be gone and Democrat Gray Davis to be Governor. Davis withdrew the appeal, allowing Pfaelzer’s killing of 187 to never be appealed.

You’re right. I remember the hue and cry over that one.
Sad thing is Howard Stern was much more offensive on any given day but his fame only increased.
I never could stand Stern.

Driving while listening to the Greaseman could be hazardous to your health, but at least you would be laughing your butt off.

I still believe that with the right approach we can gradually flip some of the folk--maybe even some of those "neocon schoolmarms"--once people really grasp that the "diversity cult," with its compulsive pretense that people are interchangeable, is the greatest threat to the actual diversity, that arises from folk building cultures that reflect their personalities, rather than the fantasies of Academic theorists.

I believe that it is possible to demonstrate, with considerable clarity, that the mess in California serves the interests of none of the interacting participant groups. Allowing it to happen, of course, being also a betrayal of the ethnic Americans.
