There is nothing worth saying about that wasn’t already said some 25 years ago. For Tonya, that’s the whole of her 15 minutes of infamy. So of course she will never tire of repeating the Big Story, elaborations and all.
Tonya Harding needs to skate back down the memory hole.

This just shows you how sick liberals are. Kerrigan gets a knife blade stuck deep in her leg and Harding skates free and gets her own TV movie.
Jack Dempsey had lots of controversy in his fights: pushed back on the ring apron in the Firpo fight, failing to retire to a neutral corner after smashing Tunney to the ground in their rematch, and knocking out Jack Sharkey while Sharkey was complaining to the referee about low blows. But the public loved Dempsey more than Sharkey, Tunney, and Firpo combined.
This Harding-Kerrigan story is super gigantic because both skaters were immensely talented and on top of the world in a sport of beauty and grace and then this ugly-thugly violence happened to Kerrigan and Tonya’s hubby gets exposed as a perp....all while the Olympics is fast approaching. Wow! Sports/crime stories can’t get much bigger.
Nancy couldn’t do the triple axel. I saw the movie. All i can say is Margot Robbie did a great job as Tonya as did “Mom” as her mom. Tonya’s mom was portrayed as a witch! As in what a witch she was!
Kerrigan was a good skater but not the best (compared to other skaters at that level and time) and was not really a gold medal contender. Neither was Tanya Harding. Maybe silver or bronze all things being equal, and Harding would not be on the podium in any event.
What Kerrigan had.....good looks and loving parents, things Harding did not have. Those are the things that eat away at the soul of people like Harding.
It was obvious by her performance that the Silver Medal was a gift to Kerrigan for the BS of the Harding deal. The judges were far too generous in their point awards.
It is not a good story. What would she have to say about it?
There’s no advantage whatsoever for her to comment on it at all IMO.
Not a terrific movie, not Oscar worthy, characters are portrayed as one note, especially the mother. They came off as very one dimensional, almost cartoonish. And the format of the film was the characters in turns talking to the camera as if being interviewed. Bottom line, just not very interesting.
I heard the movie portrays harding’s mother as abusive, but her mom says she wasn’t abusive to any of her children

Nancy Kerrigan has long since moved on with her life. Tonya Harding is stuck in a mental feedback loop, like Hillary Clinton with 2016 election. Harding is in her own little Hell with no way out.
I thought Kerrigan was attractive enough to be interesting but not gorgeous by any means.
I always thought Kerrigan was nice, if a bit odd, and Harding was rather trailer parkish.
