Yep, Chode linked that training video on post#11 it’s amazing.
He was modest and awkward. The first time I was with a friend, who had no idea who he was and he asked him how he got started in show business. Keanu was very gracious and mentioned things he did in Canada. I was freaking out, this was in the early 80’s and he had not done any big action movies yet. The second time, I was having dinner at a Russian restaurant that was suppose to mimic communist times, there was like a cafeteria line and he was on his own, shaggy looking, rambling in on his bike.
The third time, I had a girlfriend who had a crush on him and I was good at sussing out where celebs would be in LA. He was playing in a club in Pasadena. He wore a knit cap and played the most atrocious bass. Afterwards, we went to talk to him in this hallway in the club. She brought him something she made. He was very sweet and listened to why she like him. He had just finished making My Private Idaho and she was gag gag over him after we saw it.
I have met Hollywood types that look over your head to see who else is staring at them, or ones that really enjoy the whole entourage thing. He was not like that. He does have rather full thighs for a guy though: )
I forget the kind of bikes he was wearing. I don’t remember a hog, maybe a vintage Indian or something like that. I hope one day you can meet him too. He was sweet, very nice every time we talked.
Sorry, I meant the bike he was riding. He was a t-shirt and plaid wearing guy in those days. Not very charismatic; he seemed to be the kind of guy you would have to flirt with first. I don’t think he would give the winning bid for a pie a girl had made for charity to show he liked her. He was low key and unassuming.
“He was modest and awkward.”
Very nice to know.
I have always liked Keanu and I’m not sure why.
I usually prefer actors that can change a scene by arching an eyebrow or using some small gesture.
Keanu is a bit limited in that respect but comes across very well regardless.
He just comes across as genuine.
Believe it or not my favorite Reeves movie is a fantasy/love story called “The Lake House” with Sandra Bullock.
It’s actually pretty sappy but the Reeves/Bullock tandem pulls it off nicely.

Nice to know his fame hasn’t gone to his head.
Either he was raised good or has seen how fleeting fame can be and is determined not to let the glitz and glitter change him.
About the thighs.
Keanu has been riding motorcycles most of his life so that may have something to do with it.
There have always been unconfirmed rumors about his sexuality that he ignores. Perhaps being a “catcher” has something to do with those thighs?
I have no idea myself.
As long as he keeps his personal life personal he can do anything legal he wants. I’ll still be a fan.
Maybe a bit disappointed, but still a fan.
I wanted to give you the link to the movie The Boat House was based on. It is named Il Mare. I bought the DVD years ago and have watched it repeatedly. It is beautiful. in 2007 I started watching Korean dramas.
I hope you enjoy it. Tell me what you think.

Another memory of Keanu, since I have seen him three times, he never seemed to own a brush. His hair is brown and disheveled like his clothes. His band is Dogstar and if they play, you should go. He does not make eye contact with the audience, his head is always down towards his bass.
I hope you meet him. If you live in LA, it seems not to be hard.
Excellent movies. Enjoyed them both.

Thanks for the link.
I live on the other side of the country and don’t plan on visiting LA anytime soon.
You never know though.
