Southern California apartment complexes that doubled as "maternity hotels" for Chinese women who want made-in-America babies were raided early Tuesday, capping an unprecedented federal sting operation, officials said.
NBC News was on the scene as Homeland Security agents swept into The Carlyle, a luxury property in Irvine, California, which housed pregnant women and new moms who allegedly forked over $40,000 to $80,000 to give birth in the United States.
"I am doing this for the education of the next generation," one of the women told NBC News.

Now, go after the Russian women who are doing the same thing in MIAMI.
These career agents have probably wanted to do this for decades but Clinton, Bush and Obama stopped them.
This immigration stuff now is running on steroids. Here is a simple solution: STOP ALL IMMIGRATION NOW.
And Mexican and Central American women who waddle over our border to present us with their brand new anchor babies, paid for by U.S. taxpayers pre-birth.
Good. The citizenship of these babies must be revoked.
But keep the money, use some of it for shipping da wenches back home, and give the rest to the local agents equipment and training fund.
The entire communities where these clinics are located need to be deported. These are towns in CA that are essentially Chinese colonies.
