“...a growing number of customers think they don’t fit a healthy lifestyle.”

Actually, I think that is a great idea...

"...no news broadcast on workout equipment..."

Good. People need to get away from the 24 x 7 x 365 breathless news, anyway.

Probably got tired of people asking to change FROM CNN. I do so anywhere I go and have gotten back comments say that lots of people do ‘but corporate says keep it on CNN.’ Not worth a boycott, but one place they should go is our public airports.

Makes perfect sense now that Clinton Crime Family is under investigation on 2 fronts.
In other news CNBC: “The Business Channel” did an in depth piece on the new
Kitty Kelly book but they forgot the part where the author said he made it all up.

I almost never see CNN or MSNBC except at the gym when I scroll through the 20 or so channels during ads of what I do watch. Today the breathless headlines on MSNBC and CNN were one attack on President Trump after the other, seemingly quotes from Wolff's new book. Anyone who watches either of these channels for their news probably does think that President Trump is a completely unqualified dumbo.

How he turned a million dollar seed money into multiple billions with buildings and golf clubs to show for it must be a mystery to the people who think he is stupid.

At the gym I work out, I always tune the TV sets nearest to me away from news channels if they are on. And I have heard almost no complaints about doing that either.

I find I leave my home TV on for background and usually have the channel set to HSN or QVC or FoxSportsSouthwest.

I have not tuned in any of the cable news channels since election night, 2016.

Speaking of which, what was Hannity’s big Tick Tock he promised would happen on January 2? Maybe he meant TicTac and listeners heard him wrong. [I haven’t listened to him since election night 2006.]

i think this is mostly a good thing

too much news is distressing and that must cause health problems

and
too much of the news today is fake news, anyway.. and that must cause mental problems

24 Hour Fitness Centers around town have mainly CNN. Some have Fox and CNN. Occasionally I will listen if I have headphones with me, and something of interest is on.

What a great idea. I haven’t watched any of that fake news hardly at all for ten years or more. Only if something is really happening ie earthquakes big storms etc. All those networks show is just a tiny fraction of what is really going on in the world. Then they never follow up on what happens later pertaining to the same story. I also despise TVs on at all in restaurants etc.....

PS I think it is basically a good idea to do this. News saturation, I can’t imagine, is good for the noggin’.

If you must watch the news a half hour is plenty for them to give you the highlights.

I enjoy life much more when I turn off TV news. I still read the news but somehow it grates less in print.

Very good news. Most of it is propaganda, delivered in a breathless manner. Not at all relaxing or healthful. Hopefully more public spaces will ban so-called news channels.

It would be even smarter for Life Time Fitness to block the Food Channel or celebrity-chef shows on their TVs.

They know people are trying to stay in shape in their gyms.

But “The View” will be DVR’d and replayed continuously until the next session becomes available on every TV in the place.....

You don’t really need the guy working out next to you knowing where you political interests lie, and I can’t help but talk back to the screen when CNN or MSNBC is spewing lies. Libs probably do the same with FOX, for telling unpleasant truths.
