Green grass would be welcome right now.
That particular song, only done by Tom Jones, was quite popular at our camp beer hall in Vietnam. I think the mindset was substituting the songs being in prison for being in Vietnam gave it a very appropriate meaning.
If you want some green, green grass, come to California. It’s now legal.
Perhaps that's why "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" by Tony Orlando was so popular.
Not for long if AG Sessions has his way. Apparently, he doesn’t see that there are much bigger fish to fry.

That one and ones like “Magic Carpet Ride” can be found on Youtube showing GI’s in slicks. Really brings back memories.
Yes, I loved that one, too.
Their rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ almost gave me goosebumps, though.
