I loved him as Olivander in Harry Potter and in "Partners."

One of the greatest actors ever. His body of work is a study in excellence. From “The Naked Civil Servant” to “Elephant Man,” and from “Midnight Express” to “Scandal,” and many in between, he was brilliant.

John, Hurt, a fantastic actor, two cute chicks, and two forgettable dweebs.

And now Dr. Who is a woman.

Oh, how the mighty have been feminized.

I don’t understand why he regenerated immediately after entering his Tardis. What killed him? And does he get the numbering of doctors off?

One of the few things upon which I ever agreed with Roger Ebert was Hurt's perfect casting and portrayal of Winston Smith in 1984.

I liked David and Matt. Early on, it took a little while with each.

The Christmas special was fairly good.

I’m not sure how well the lady will do.

That, and of course, he was the first character ever to do a Alien chestburter scene.

The other actors were kept in the dark about what was going to happen in that scene. The reactions of them all were genuine freakout.

I always thought his willingness to reprise the chestbustee role for Spaceballs was a sign of a great sense of humor.

He played that role brilliantly.
