The Forme of Curry is pretty unreadable. They ate a wide variety of strange food in the medieval period. Well, strange by our lights, of course. Porpoise was big in those days.

“Unmentionable Cuisine”

From amazon reviews:
“Great recipes for those evenings when you just don’t know what to cook and something appears dead in your yard. This has saved me countless trips to the store.”

ROFL!! I sooo have to get this book! Thank you sooo much!!

I don’t remember Laurel but Germantown and somewhere in St. Mary’s. (That’s a fabulous one!)

Dang it appears the Amish are doing the internet! This is a surprise.

Heard this week they sell venison in the Germantown Amish market and I want to try the venison jerky recipe in my The Walking Dead Cookbook. It actually sounds really good.

I think the one in Laurel is the one that used to be near Burtonsville.

Thanks everyone for your concern :) I’m hoping to have my sense of taste back within a few months according to everything I’ve read online.

I am having a hard time deciding which one of these I want to make tomorrow. They both look so good. I’m sure my family would appreciate either one..

I like the Cinnabon-type one. There was a year in my life when that was breakfast, every day ;-)

(That ‘vomiting chicken’ site is very nice.)

I was thinking that bone broth might be something that one can get down when appetite isn’t up to par; and it’s highly nutritious.

Yes, it is.. I like it. I’ve been doing research here and there on keeping chickens and came across it.

I make it from time to time. My parents used to make it when I was younger.

Bone broth and tea is what we are living on currently. Mr Bear and I are both down with some sort of crud.

Right now it is chicken bone broth, with garlic, ginger, curry and a heaping lot of herbs.

When we get hungry we warm some up and pour it over rice noodles and top it with a squeeze of lemon.

Make these....you wont be sorry.

Yummy treats stuffed w/ cinnamon-y apples, drenched in caramel and icing. Uses convenient refrigerated cinnamon roll tubes--straight from the oven, drench w/ icing and luscious caramel. Pull apart and munch--OK to lick your fingers!

FILLING Micro a min 5-6 diced apples, tbl brown sugar, 1/2 tea cinnamon, drizzle of lemon/juice (micro apples tender not mushy).

ROLLS Press out thinly each cinnamon roll from 8-count tube; center w/ spoonful apple filling. Roll up lengthwise; cut three pieces. Tuck in apples. Place three pieces in each cupcake tin – cut side up. Bake at temp on package; JUST lightly brown. Remove to counter---drizzle tops w/ icing and Hershey's dulche de leche.

ICING Add bit l/juice to icing included in tube.

Here’s a new take on dieting

SOURE: WSJ.COM

10 a.m. - Frittata with cheese and a vegetable
1 p.m. - Salad with apples, chicken and brown rice. Slice of sourdough bread with butter
3 p.m. - Biscotti and coffee
5 p.m. - 6 oz steak, roasted broccoli with garlic; gnocchi with butter sage; glass of wine
6 p.m. - Chocolate chia pudding with berries
