Fantastic end for Army with the 2-pt conversion and the Pick 6 on SDSU trying the hook & lateral. And now the crash diets begin for those senior linemen to meet the weight & BMI standard before commissioning/graduation.

Actually counts as a fumble return.

Penny one of the greatest running backs in history but no Heisman.

OK - the intentional fumble/backwards pass/lateral was picked out of the air and Army scored 6 points = Pick 6. YMMV...

Heisman has become all about the logo on the helmet and being on a dominant team in the championship chase. Lots of previous Heisman winners wouldn’t have the statue under the current “criteria” that voters appear to use.

Army linemen have to stay in spec and pass the indoor obstacle course. Navy lineman are allowed to go over weight and have to cut down hard to make weight requirements before they graduate.

Penny also made two excellent blocks on the kick-off returned for a touchdown, including a de-cleater on the kicker

Army linemen ... Navy lineman

Army always has the advantage during the Army/Navy game since it's always played on land............

Great finish. The Army coach was very apologetic at half time interview about the Army team missing the playing of the National Anthem at the start of the game. He said they the team stayed in locker room 5 minutes too long. He apologized to all the military personnel. You could tell he was very upset about not having the Army team on the sidelines for the National Anthem.

I wanted to call it a pick-six, but that didn’t seem right. I do believe you are correct.

“Army linemen have to stay in spec and pass the indoor obstacle course.”

Thanks for that detail/clarification.

SDS committed too many personal fouls including getting tossed. Disrespectful. No way to treat our future military. Glad they lost.
