I’ve changed a bit over the last decade but can’t get out of the habit of checking where our boots are first.
Newsnow.co.uk for Iraq, Kurdistan, Afghanistan and sometimes Somalia or wherever I hear they are deployed.
Then Washington Examiner
Then Breitbart
Then Conservative Review
Then Free Republic because I post articles from those sites and end up spending a couple of hours reading.
Any site like drudge is hard for me to read with the small fonts. Liberty Daily layout is the same and I love pictures.
I forget exactly what it was, but I remember a couple of Drudge headlines a year or so ago that made me drop him from my bookmarks. I actually check Reddit’s the Donald first (best place for morale), then Free Republic (best info), then my Twitter feed (best links). I think I’m well covered with that.
For breaking news on events like the LV shooting, my go to is now RSBN’s live channel on Youtube. RSBN showed video and eyewitness reports in real time, much faster than Fox/CNN/ABC/NBC/etc. It took Drudge 8 hours before he posted anything.
Redditors on T_D are indefatigable
Just checked WF and like their mix of stories but couldn’t find comments on those stories.
Do they allow comments?
Then I check my twitter feed
And then I come here to FreeRepublic.com
And then I have on either Red State news or Golden State channel. "
Disgusting choice-order!
How could any American NOT go to FR first?
Quit going about a year ago.
Agreed. Right Side Broadcasting does a fantastic job.
Good NEWS sites Both,,,
THANKS!
Tired of Drudge too.
“”I have enjoyed Whatfinger a lot.””
I never heard of it but clicked on the link. Too busy for me. I like the layout of FR better than any other.....organized and easy on the eyes! I’ve never been to Drudge and don’t think I missed anything.
Thanks for posting this. I had not paid any attention to this site previous to your recommendation, but it has now replaced drudge for me. Love it.
With FR, why do you need Drudge anyway?
Great, I also go to https://thelibertydaily.com/
It looks like drudge also, but sometimes the popup ads drive me elsewhere.
I go for days without even looking at Drudge. I got tired of the links to the NYT, CNN and MSNBC. Why would I want to support those sites? And...for the same reason....why would I want to support Drudge? He quit supplying a fair, decent product, so I quit on him. When he became nothing but links to liberal websites and Hollywood BS stories...I was done.
